A Proven Leader
Anne Allen is the leader we need to get things done in Atlanta for Savannah. Having spent the past 7 years advocating to end gun violence, she’s become a trusted partner with leadership in Savannah and at the state legislature. Anne Allen was born in the district, is raising her family in the district, and practices law in the district. Support Anne Allen so our district can have the leadership it deserves in Atlanta.
Anne Allen served as the State Legislative Lead and Local Group Lead – Savannah for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. As a volunteer leader, she worked on defeating dangerous gun bills in the Georgia General Assembly, educating gun owners about the importance of safe firearm storage. In September 2019, with Anne Allen’s leadership, the City of Savannah unanimously passed a gun violence prevention resolution, the first of its kind to pass in Georgia.
Anne Allen is a longtime member of Asbury Memorial Church. In the wake of the 2015 church shooting at Mother Emanuel AME in Charleston, South Carolina, she helped form Asbury’s “Ribbons for a Reason” ministry, which remembers the lives of Savannahians lost to gun violence with the public display of orange ribbons and urges people of faith to pray and work for solutions to Savannah’s gun violence crisis.
Anne Allen also serves as a Cultural Affairs Commissioner for the City of Savannah, which supports the many arts organizations that make up the cultural fabric of Savannah.
